HHS (1956-57) ROTC Regimental Commander - Served in US Army - Worked for Airline - Attended Colleges in TX - Also Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ft. Worth, TX.) -Taught in Public Schools in TX - Served on a Church Staff- Retired twice (1992 & 2004). My wife Linda and I have a son and a daughter with four grandchildren. Currently all of our family live in the North Texas area. Past - Present - Future - Eternity - Where have you been and where are you going? As of August 29, 2016 - I still live in Ovilla, Texas.

My brother, usually went by Floyd, bought a 56 annual (my sister in law graduated in 56) so there were two 56 HHS annuals in the house. He was in ROTC at HHS. He made the CHS JV football team, I think he went to CHS the next year. He was 8 years older than me. My brother spent his last year and a half of Army in Fort Sam Houston Texas. In 62 he bought a house on the river one block from the Tower. He worked for the City of Tampa Water 34 years.
I live in New Tampa.
Do you remember my brother being in ROTC? Willie Floyd Snyder JR RIP? He talked fondly of his ROTC unit painting Chamberlain's bleachers with HHS after they stole the Terrier. He later jumped out of 52 perfectly good airplanes, with the 82nd Airborne 101 ST. He jumped into Puerto Rico at night , part of the Bay of Pigs.. Cuban Crisis. He was playing on Chamberlin's JV football team....Did not graduate, could not wait to be a paratrooper. He worked at the Big Barn grocery with Pete Anello and had a 57 Indian motorcycle. He married Patricia Browning HHS.

Hello!
My brother was in ROTC then too. Floyd Snyder, he ended up in 101 st as a Green Beret Paratrouper and did a night jump in Puerto Rico, Bay of Pigs action. 52 jumps....He was also on CHS's JV football team.....But you probably know that story of the Terrier......Betty 65 Go Big Red!

Well, Leslie, I just noticed that I had the reference wrong on the title. It should have been Second Peter 1:1-4. Oh well. I straightened it our while I was preaching, but forgot to edit it.
