About Me:

After graduating from HHS, I spent nearly 10 years with the US Army. My husband and I couldn't quite figure out how to settle down to a stable civilian life when we left the military, so we, and our son(7) and daughter(5), now wander the world with the State Department. At the moment, we are posted at the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, and have been here over 4 years now.

    Hey lady, It is really great to hear from you. You have a beautiful family. I live in south central Pa now. Really miss Fl. I would move back but don't want to be away from my kids. Have 2 and they live local. Did the divorce thing after Iraq in 04 which was a good thing. I did 21 years finishing up in reserves. Have been a Police Officer and am now remarried. You can keep Egypt. I did some time there in south camp back in the day. I'm sure it's a lot better life as a civilian with family though. Just watch you six over there and be safe.     Thank You. Nice family pictures - I assumed that one may be a costume picture of the girls for halloween ( if they celebrate it their or for something else). Beautiful colors.

    Hi Connie,
    GA is cold now. I'm near Ft. Benning and today it just started raining. I know what you mean about the stay at home mom thing. I am doing it now and yes it is not easy. I commend you for doing that, but as soon as he is ready for school, I'm joining the work force again. Kiddy talk all day, every day is just not me. I look forward to going to church not only to serve God, but to have some adult conversation.(LOL).

    Hi Connie,

    The settling down part is hard for me too. I did 20 years and I have been in one place for almost three and I feel that it is time to PCS.(LOL). State Department seems like a really good job. Good luck and God bless.
