We have raised one son, Ralph Wayne Dietzman, who was married to the former Miss Danielle Brady, and has a daughter, Alexis Noelle Dietzman who is go nine years old, and she is the apple of grandad's eye. They also live in the greater Ft. Lauderdale area, so we get to see them frequently. (Ralph is a 'rabid Gator', having graduated from UF "Cum Laude"). My only sister, Lillian Dietzman Jenkins, another Gator, and ALSO a Terrier, Class of 1951 (yes, 17 years before me!); my nephew Dave and niece Debbie are closer to being "brother-sister age" contemporaries than Lil and I are, though now that doesn't matter so much. They are just 6 and 8 years younger than I am, so we overlapped a lot more in the things we experienced while growing up.

  • My mother was from the class of 1950 or 1951. Her name was Patricia Buchanan. Your sister may remember her.

    Connie Ragan,

  • Hi back Dale;
Yes, I am well acquainted with Jerry Meguiar. We both taught the E.M.H. special education classes about the same time period. I retired before he did in 2000-and he continued teaching at Monroe if my memory serves me correctly. I do believe that he finally decided to retire. He had children to finish educate in college-I believe he said
before he could retire. Jerry is indeed a very fine gentleman-and we
were in various meetings and a w.orkshop or two. Please give him my
best regards if and when you happen to speak to him. I appreciate your response to my comment.
  • Hi Dale: I thought I was going to the Beaker Breakers page. I am not real computer savy--where did it end up? How do I get it to the right place?

  • Having a schmaltzy afternoon, listening to Beach Boys, the Cascades, and other groups form our HS years, and remembering HHS. The rosy glow of wonderful is probably conferred by the passage of years since we were there, but it certainly seems so now.
  • Thanks Dale. I have sent a note to the Alumni Association to get that updated. I will post the new one as soon as I get it.
  • How do I find Beaker Breakers?
  • Hi Dale

I will let all the classmates that I still stay in touch with about this site. Mickey told me about it today.
  • Hi Dale, I know what you mean about forgetting fellow classmates - I suspect I didn't know that many to start with. I was really pretty shy (except around fellow "jocks") so I didn't have that many friends off the track and baseball field - God had to change that shyness in me, which He did to some extent.
It's good to hear from you. Were you in attendance at our 40th reunion??? I was there but couldn't see or hear much Friday night! Saturday was much better and being asked to say a prayer prior to our meal was something really special for me! I'd love to have had time to visit more but I'm happy for those I did get to see. I hope we don't have to wait until our 50th to gather again!
Uncle Sam (Air Force) took me from Tampa to Texas to Mississippi to North Carolina and when I was discharged I just stayed on in N.C. and completed my college and seminary work and then went on for my doctorate work. I loved N.C. but God brought me to Virginia and I'm very happy now living and serving in Richmond - my four children all live with a few miles in this area. Still have my Mom and sister in Tampa and my brother is a pastor about two hours south in N.C.
Take care and stay in touch - e-mail address is pastornorthrunbaptist@juno.com
    Blessings,
    Tom
  • I taught here in Palatka at Palatka High for the entire time. We moved to Palatka December 1980 and I started by subbing a year in 1982 and went full time in 1983. Now at least my daughter Deborah carries on the teaching tradition.
