Hello Charles I'm Gary Brown from 1963 and just joined HHSAA and also in the 1963 group. Is and are you still active in the 1963 group. I would like to get more to join the group because there is still a lot of us out there and only 3 of us showing up and one is actually 1964 and wife of DA . I am not sure what to do about this group. My profile email is not working so it is keeping me from sending out messages to my 1963 friends. It has been reported but I think it is because they have not received my membership enrollment and check. Who knows?
I hope you remember me because I do remember you.
Gary Brown
Glad to be HHS classmates friends with You. I have a burning question for you when I first saw your name and picture. Are You related to one of our past HHS graduates. His name was Baldomero Lopez 1943 HHS graduate, Naval Academy, and Korean War Medal of Honor Receipant. He gave his all and his life for us. Also are You related to any of the 1955-57 HHS graduates. I knew some Lopez's at HHS back then.
You have some real nice pictures on your site. I live in Texas and have been here since 1960. Have been back to Tampa about 5 times since 1960. Don't have any relatives there now just friends. It is always nice to meet former past HHS students.
Will visit again later.
Blessings to You and Yours - Leslie Brown
If you were teaching around Tampa, did you happen to know Jerry Meguiar? Although he and his whole family are Plant Panthers (nobody's perfect!), they are the nicest people, and the best friends I have who are still in Tampa. They came to the Alumni Hall of Fame ceremony in 2007 when I was inducted. Pam, Jerry's wife, remarked how it was the first time she had ever set foot in Hillsborough's halls, and she was blown away by the beauty of our building.
