About Me:

I am a second grade teacher at Mt. View Elementary. I have been married to Eddie Brittain since 1974. We have two sons; Jeremy and Garrett, Jeremy gave us two wonderful grandchildren, ages 9 and 8 and Garrett and his wife, Courtney have twin girls 3 years old. We have lived in Johnson City for 20 years, but still visit our family and friends in Tampa often. It will always be "home" for us.

    Brenda and Eddie, Kenny Smith here.  Sorry for the delay in responding to you.  So good to hear from you! I moved back to Tampa after taking a leave from Delta Air Lines right after 9/11 and wound up retiring a couple of years ago.  I'm currently working as a Stage Manager for Busch Gardens and having a blast! 

    Did you keep in touch with Nan?  I lost track of her shortly after she married and moved to Vegas.  Give me a holler next time you're in TPA.

    Brenda, everytime I come in here and see your photo, I can't seem to get past long dark hair. You're beautiful both ways! I've wanted to move out of Tampa as long as I can remember; we did some serious looking, for locations, the past few years. The first criteria is a VA Med Center. I've been in Johnson City twice in the past year and a half! Getting there from NC was one heck of a ride from Asheville...solid rock and a long long way down! The ride back through the valleys via Sevierville was a lot prettier. My parents have a place in Whittier NC, so we went up one way and back the other.

    Brenda, I see the twins have arrived! They are precious! The picture of Eddie with your other sweet grandkids at "BO'S" really brings back memories. That little ice cream store has been there forever! My parent's home is just around the corner.

    I apologize for not writing you back sooner. It's been a rough month. I lost my husband October 8. He was working in the yard and had a heart attack. We didn't even know he had any kind of problem.
    I wanted to tell you though, that your family is just beautiful. Twin girls! And you guys look great.
    I just talked to Debbie and she said to tell you hi. Let me know if ya'll come for the holidays. It would be fun to get together.

    Brenda, I think about you often. I am glad to see that you are so happy. I would like to hear from you when you have time. I have gotten in touch with Pauline Chifari through this website. It was great to "talk" to her after all these years. I haven't seen Debra in a couple of years. I am not good at visiting, and she isn't online. I would like to hear all your news. The last time I remember seeing you was at your wedding.

    Hi,
    Mama and I just got back from the Smokies last Friday night. We got there Sunday evening and left Thursday morning. It is a small world. What we do...just relax, ride and take in the beauty. I love the pace of life up there. We spent a whole day at Cades Cove. Had a picnic and just lingered.
    I took Mama to Birmingham on the way up there to visit one of her girlfriends from her school days. HHS of course and coming home we stopped in Spring City TN to visit a cousin of hers. We really had a good time.
    Next year Bettie and her family and hopefully myself are going to go up and than we rent a cabin. Bettie married Jaime Nogueras. I dont know if you knew him or not. Was a close friend of Albert's. So maybe Eddie does.
    Well I have to get to bed. Work tomorrow. Love talking to you. Tell all hello.
