About Me:

Hi! I hope you all are well! How time flies...! Since my days at HHS, I have been a busy guy! I have worked my butt off, served in the military, traveled the world, graduated from college, worked in television and film, and in 2008, I realized a life long dream and surfed on vacation in Hawaii! To update you, I am currently single. And, I am twice divorced, with no kids. Today, I work as a musician and as a side business, I work, in my free time, on graphic designs for my online retail sites. I love performing and I am working to be great at it! And, I enjoy working on my designs as well. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, please, check out the new HHS apparel site: called the Hillsborough High Fan Zone* http://www.cafepress.com/hillsboroughfan (*) A portion of all sales generated from the site, each year, will continue to be donated to the HHS Alumni Association's scholarship fund. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And, for those of you, HHS Alums, who also attended George Washington Jr. High, there is now a new preservation site: the George Washington Jr. High site http://sites.google.com/site/georgewashingtonjrhightampa/Home This new GWJH site could use more historical input, and Tiger Tails, school photos, story submissions, recollections, and feedback, to improve it. Have a great year! John

  • John,

Just received your message regarding the Wrestling Photo. Actually Rene (Fonseca) has the original which is mounted on a wooden plaque and laminated. I borrowed it and scanned it so that I could share it with everyone. Also wanted to add that Rene, Berta Ochs and I took Coach Yost to lunch the day after Thanksgiving last year (2009) and though he has had some serious health problems, he's doing okay. If you want, I can email you the the scan of the photo and that could be printed up. Let me know. Joe
  • Hi thanks for the message - cute high school picture. Living in DC is great - if you ever get a chance to visit, let me know and I'll show you around.

  • Hello, Juggling Club got started my Junior year at Hillsborough. A Juggling Club from Jesuit (all boy's school) came to visit our high school one club day when I was a sophomore and they inspired a lot of us to learn how to juggle. My friend Bonnie and I would bring our juggling balls to school every day and practice before school and during lunch. We got pretty good. I could do 4, but never could do 5 consistently. Bonnie and I could each juggle three and pass balls between us and keep juggling. We could even stand back to back and pass the balls over our heads to each other! Senior year we were Co-Presidents of the Juggling Club together and it was a fun club.

Portland does have great weather...in the summer. The rest of the year it's pretty rainy. I've enjoyed living out here though. Thanks for the message! :-)
