Cool, I thought I remembered you from NOBC as well. Here's a strange item for you - in just the last month, you are now the second person I knew from NOBC that I've run across. In my bio I mentioned the Fanfare Concert Winds group I'm playing in. Well, just three weeks ago, one of the clarinets cames up to me and said "Are you the same Ben Crumpton from NOBC?" Turns out it was Larry Smith. You might remember that he was one of a set of twins - Larry and Garry. What are the odds, huh? Hey, you might be better off never marrying, based on my experiences! LOL But then I wouldn't have Ian, so I guess all the pain was worth it. And yes, you almost remembered correctly. It was Wheel of Fortune that I was on, not Jeopardy. Cleaned up! Wish I could do that again! Never ceases to amaze me how many people saw that and remember it. You still playing music? Later!

Hey Darrell!
Ben Crumpton here. Played sax in the Big Red band, but also seem to remember you from New Orleans Baptist Church, too. Remember me? Drop me a line! benscoin@tampabay.rr.com
Bummer. My son was laid off from Circut City, but the stores are closing. He is 23 and hopefully it will be much easier for him to get a job. He just graduated with a degree in Marketing/sales. My baby is 20 and is in nursing school. Hopefully she will graduate by 22. College tution is killing my husband and I. Thankfully God is blessing us.
Thanks Darrell. We wore those back in my tears of 1969-1971. I guess Solak trusted us more then since we took care of our own. By the way, they're "P"lumes. Also, are you related to David Coram whom I sang with in Sound Sytem 1971?
Hi Darrell...My wife andI were just reading your comment posted on "Big Red Band". That's too bad you all didn't get to march in the Cherry Blossom Parade. Hopefully you got to tour all the sites. What is a "Flume Box"? Goo-Goo Money?
Darrell, thanks for joining the BIG RED BAND group. You are in the same class as my brother Gene Teston, so I knew many of the band members. My brother was not in the band, but all of his friends were, like Ricky Gonzalez, John Albano, etc.
You were in Steve Solak's bands, possibly the best marching bands HHS ever put on the field. I was fortunate to play in Solak's band for 2 years. He retired in 1980, & then I was in Tom Ziegelhofer's first band in 1981.
See if you can add more members to this group.
Thanks

We got 6 inches of snow last night. :-).
Imagine finding you here. I hope you are well and are enjoying life. I am currently in NC at my mountain cabin. I will return to Tampa soon.
Best Wishes,
Sharon C Short
