  • Mom and dad still live in the same house. Shannon has four children and Martin has five. They both live locally and are doing great! We all get together at mom's on Sunday nights. Everyone is doing well.
  • Yes, in fact I am Shannon and Martin's sister. In total, five of the eight were in Sound System. Shannon was, still is, our best piano player in the family. I do need to let Shannon know. I cannot remember his e-mail! I will tell them you said hi!
  • Hello Shirlene. I am doing well. It looks like you have a wonderful family. Are you still in Tampa? I have been living in Orlando for the past 15 years. Just a bit heavier and greyer than I was 20 years ago. :)
Have a great Christmas. Take care. Russ
  • Shirlene!! What up girl? I remember you real well.glad to see your doing good and happy, just wanted to say hi!
  • Shirlene,
Hi, Thanks! My bad, I figured it out, after sending the message, when I finally dug up my old yearbook in storage, and looked up the flute player I was thinking of, in the yearbook to see if it was you. And, as it turns out, it was little Sherri Dampier, she was a sophomore that year. I remember Cindy Strickland was in my junior year home room. And, I also wrestled, when a Mary Strickland was in the Wrestling Club, was that you? Either way, I do remember seeing you around campus. And, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Take care! John
  • Shirlene,
Hi! Were you the tiny flute player, I had to keep a watch over, and I almost knocked out several times with the bari sax during marching band season, our senior year? If you were, boy did we have some close calls! I remember a flute player, I think it was you, who constantly had to duck her flute or dodge the bari sax, as she passed through the marching line, as we were doing drops and pickups, so close together, during our marching band routine. I think it was an X-Wing formation. And, all of the time, I was worried she was going to get hurt. And, I remember at least one time, she actually had to hurdle through the line to avoid running right into that bari sax. Oh man, that was scary and funny at the same time! It was like a ballet leap. And, at least once, as her line was doing a blind pickup, marching backwards, as ours was marching forward, she backed into the bell of the bari sax with her head. And, that smarted. So, was that you? If so, I am so glad that survived without head trauma! And, I can see you have a lovely family! Take care!
    John
