It was good to be Den Koenig!
As far as so called maturity goes Chuck, to hell with that, you had qualities that were much more valuable: a great personality, joei de vivre ( sic?), kitsch, an outstanding sense of self worth and sense of humour, you were friendly, outgoing and nonjudgemental and you had a good singing voice AND you also were known to do things like leave flattened dried our dead squirrels near Miss Haines accoutrements.
What got you to France and Germany by the way?
Was it your studies or rugby or what?

We sat and chatted through the entire event and he seemed himself, but distant at the same time, kind of uncomfortable at coming across someone who knew him, his ma and the story and we ended the evening with a handshake, a hug and a fare thee well, not that i could blame the lad.
I like Bulgarians and actually played against a Bulgarian team in 1986 called CSKA Sofia and although he did not play, i actually met and kicked the ball around with a fellow who is a Bulgarian and international legend by the name of Hristo Stoichkov. He seemed fascinated that a Yank was playing ball in Europe and although it is a commonality now, I was, a freakshow then.
Why,how and what, in the name of Wesley Chapman, were YOU doing in France and Germany?
I had been able to speak to him before his health had really started to fail, although he told me that he had been going through some stuff and he told me that it was directly related to his pursuit of wrestling as a career and his use of HGH and Dyna, and he knew that it had wreaked havoc on him internally.
He told me that he was suffering from constant pain, digestive and lower intestine problems, his heart would palpitate,he would have trouble breathing, ad infinitum.
James and I had a very tight relationship, unbeknownst to most.
we had known each other since Grade 1, at Seminole Heights Elementary and he and i would stand back to back and fight off kids from the projects who would gang up and pick on the funny talking crackers, and when I told momma about it, she just sat down and boo-hooed.
He called me or maybe i called him a day or two before he dropped, as I was on my way to town, and we were talking about back in the day, and he made mention of your old house off of nebraska and your dad's naughty film collection and stuff like that and the next thing i knew, i saw his Obit in the paper and i don't even buy the paper, but I was in town for a minute and wanted to read`the corny, backwards paper and there it was.
I spoke to his brothers, post mortem, and they shared some additional information, which i shall not put in a public forum, but would share with you, as you too, were his friend, and would hold it closely.
I did quite a bit of travelling for a while Chuckles and stopped counting at 42 countries, plus or minus.
My son is my everything and this is the company I am building, but we will not launch until late 4th quarter 09 or mid 1st quarter 2010, depending on licensure and funding: www.americandebtcollectors.com
Tax Attorney?
That's a far cry from the jackass who would sing King of Pain acapella at the top of his lungs near the "Coffins".
BTW, James Dupree died.
