About Me:

I have been living in Charleston (Mt. Pleasant) since 1970. My working career consisted of real estate sales, business manager of a local newpaper and a publishing company. My family consists of two children, Gerry and Stephanie who live within 30 miles and two grandchildren, both in college. Have been active in numerous civic affairs - from League of Women's Voters to Charleston Animal Society. Most of my family still live in the Tampa Bay area, so have visited often.

    Dear Barbara, It is great to hear from you and know how you are doing. It is a shame I don't hear from or see Dee and Dolly. We were all so close as we grew up. I stay busy with church, family and a singing group I am with that sings in nursing homes and senior centers. I am a widow. My husband Curt died in 1994. So I have been alone for a long time now but have a wonderful full life.
    Two of my children live near by . My oldest Steve lives in Tampa and works at Tampa "Electric Co. My daughter Laura lives in Clearwater . She has two children ; Michael 16 and Kelly 12 . My son Mark lives in the Miami area . He works in telecom. He has one son Bryan 25 . He works on Carnival Cruise Lines as an entertainer.
    THanks for getting in touch and say hi to Dee -Dee and Dolly for me.

    I have 4 grandchildren (2 from my son, Pat) and 2 from my daughter Adele. 3 have graduated from college, 1 is a teacher, l an engineer and l is a nurse. The last one just graduated from high school. Pat's daughter had a little girl this past year and his son will be having their first in October. Adele's daughter lives in Tampa and works for the VA hospital and like you most of my family is still there.
    Pat died her sophomore year in high school and his son's first year at Auburn Univ. She married in 2001 and her mom married in 2002 their son married in 2003. Adele's daughter married last year in Brazil and is still waiting for him to get papers to return to FL. My sister's live at John Knox Village in Tampa and my brother lives in Zephyrhills so it is good to return to FL to see the family.

    We will be going back down there on Sept. 12. Keep having a great time. I am glad your children and grandchildren are close to you.

    I talked to her for a few minutes as her son was leaving to return to Tampa but never got back to her again. Will try to call her tomorrow. Thank you for getting us connected again. I do remember being with you at the house as we went to and from school each day. How are you doing? I hope that you are well.

    Thank you so much. I have thought about DeeDee so much every time we have a reunion but just haven't located her. I will be back in Tampa Sept 12-21 so hope that we can get together. It is so good to be back in touch. I remember having her for lunch when we returned to Tampa and Edith Calhoun and Betty Rose Cotarelo came too. All had an interest in Carlos Fraundorfer at some time and it was soon after that that Edith was killed in a car accident. My how times have passed. Thank you again for writing back. I will call DeeDee now.
