Hi Tom, Good to hear from you. My wife and I live in University Place about 10 miles north and west of Ft. Lewis. My health has gone south so don't drive or travel anymore.
We moved here in 1975 as a compromise since neither liked the others home state. We did get down to Fl. for my 60th HHS reunion. Take care, Pete
It was good to hear from you after all these years, Tom.
To answer your question -
Kokomo is an small, automotive city. GM and Chrysler have been big employers over the years, so our unemployment is high at this time, about 14%. Population is less than 50K, so it's more like a community than a city.
However, we're only 50 miles north of Indy and just a few hours drive from Chicago, Louisville, etc.
I talked to Gloria (Kaspar) Rinaman the other day. She and Jim live in Jacksonville, have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Jim is retired from his law practice and they travel a lot. I joined them on a tour of Egypt last year.
You may already know that Maralyn (Bozeman) Wynn passed away suddenly in June of '03. She had an apparent embolism. She and Bob had two daughters, an adopted son and 5 grandchildren. Bob has been retired for several years from Manatee Jr. College in Bradenton.
I get to Fla. once a year, still enjoy the beach. I have several friends who have moved to Sarasota or winter there. What attracted you and Ann to Puget Sound?
