Thanks for responding to my Question. I have been envolved in family history for a little while. The Brown's in my family came from England in the 1700's into the Charkston, SC area then on to - Darlington District, SC -Butler, Wilcox Counties, Alabama - Meridan (Lauderdale Co,) MS. - migerated to Navarro Co.,TX in 1869.
Were you a Gurber before becoming a Brown? Don't believe I know any Gurber's. I guess you know that one of our former HHS teachers was the picture child for Gurber's baby food years ago.
My wife has a sister that lives in Plano - don't know many Davis' except some in our church (1- Wayne and his family). Does your Brown family do much genealogy of the family - there are a lot of different Brown and Davis families - never know if there might be a past conection in years past. I have over 2,000 names in my computer Family Tree Maker - and am still working on it - probably will never finish. Didn't take an interest in the whole family till later in life and wished I had started sooner
Some of my 1957 classmates live in your area and on north to Brooksville - a lot still live in FL. but many have move off. Always nice to get back to the Fl. area and hear from former HHS students - being in that school for 3 years does something to you that you never forget - especially the people and the time it happened.
Cheryl - did your 74 Class have a 30th Reunion? Back in the 1950's before these modern roads I remember Lutz was a little drive from our Tampa home at the time. Dee (Champlin - 57) Mercer a good friend attends a Methodist in North Tampa - she teaches in SS on Sundays.
