About Me:

Greetings Terriers! I was Class of 1983 and avoid using that word "graduated" – that is such a formal distinction. I last attended sometime in 1982...who kept track of those pesky attendance requirements. I landed at the University of South Florida earning a Bachelor’s degree s in Anthropology & International Studies in 1987 and returned for a BS in Secondary Social Science Education in 1989. Post graduation I worked primarily in the substance abuse field with teen-agers in Pinellas County. I returned to USF for my Masters in Applied Anthropology finishing my coursework 1997 just before my daughter’s birth and completing that tiresome thesis in 2000 – available to be checked out for your late night reading at the USF Library. Still trying to chase the dream of a high school diploma I have continued my education post masters to earn my Project Management Professional credential and am currently enrolled at the University of Tampa’s College of Business for a Graduate Certificate in Non-profit Management and Innovation. Who knew social workers needed to understand accounting and stuff? I am married to my college sweetie John (St. Pete High School Class of ’82 – I guess we all can’t be Terriers) for 19 years. We have a fabulous daughter Augustine who is 10 years old and exploring her passions of horseback riding/jumping and fencing. Living in Riverside Heights we drive by the school frequently and Auggie understands it is her destiny. :-) For the past 8 years I am working my dream job as an applied anthropologist/project manager at the Children's Board of Hillsborough County in Ybor City where I am responsible for directing activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of children in Hillsborough County so they are prepared to enter kindergarten. I stay in touch with a few other Terriers including my fellow Red and Black Staffer Mary Angelo (83) and the rest of the group Lisa Robinton (82), Lori (Hiott) Browne (82), Jim Rost (82), John Martin (82) P.S.
