Tell me about it, remember how we used to set him up when we played football, we would though it high so he'll jump for it and then one of us would take him out. How about time he took his dad's truck and we road around the house and he hit the house with the side of the truck. Oh my God those were great times, our kids would die if we told them half the stuff we used to do. One more thing all I'm going to say is trash cans!
I think I had a Ralph Lauren polo on, I remember it was such a small holding cell I remember some drunk guy and I kept thinking he was going to vomit on me. Yikes.
Oh, I'm real big on my children not repeating my mistakes!!! (Or my brother's mistakes.) So far, so good. No marriages and no children at a young age so they're all doing great. You should tell your children the skating rink story. They will love it.
You guys are just too funny. One of you should write up the entire story! I only remember Alan walking in and I don't think I stayed in the room. When mom told me what happened, I just couldn't believe it....oh wait....yeah, I could believe it! You guys! You all learned a valuable lesson, one which your children won't repeat. I've told my children, "If you get arrested, don't call me!" and they've heard the skating rink story and have never been arrested. They know I'd kill them!
Mike Reel had pulled the same stunt earlier that week and they were ready for us. Spending the night in the holding cell was the worst, I had just turned 18 and the deputies said I looked 16. That kind of freaked me out. I ran into a nephew or cousin of E.J. Salcines in Raleigh, NC and he had heard about the story as a kid. I remember my mom sitting at the kitchen table saying "well, you really F****ed up. First time I heard my mom drop the f' bomb. That freaked me out too.
Oh yes. I love telling the skating rink story! How are you? Do you have a Facebook? It's great fun keeping up with everyone. Your brother is a "friend" so you can find me that way. Good to hear from you!
Ronnie I saw a picture of you from the night on Facebook, and said to myself, darn I should've gone! You look great! I searched for you on FB and found your son. Hope all is well with you & family. WE must go to the next event! Thanks for reaching out!!!!!
