Me? Still trying to live up to all those "Most Likely to succeed" nods, but not greedy enough to ignore my kids to do so to the Trump level! :) And anyway, after two car accidents in the past few years (my first one ever in March '05, the next Sept '07), I'm just happy to be here and vertical! So I'm thinking of a house in the country - with internet access so I can work - with a little stream and hardly any traffic to slam into me!! I just need to get my youngest through another 5 years of school or so, or bring him along. I guess he can get edumacated online!
I'm finally finishing my degree (see statement #1) and carrying a 3.9 (made the Dean's List - yippee!) so far, so that feels pretty great, even though it's much harder now with adult life and family. And yes, it still matters very much even though I just turned 41.
My daughter started college herself this past fall, and that's practically inconceivable, but true. She's pretty awesome, if I do say so myself, as is my son. I basically told them both "You don't have a choice. You will not take a "break". You will not pass go. Then you'll have the degree forever and may go to Europe upon completion if you can afford it!" :) Sure wish I'd had someone yank me out of my dream state to do the same.
Anyway, yes, life is pretty great if you choose to see it that way, and I try very hard to. I'm pretty sure (statistically speaking) that our generation will average about 100, so that means we're just getting started, right? Might as well go through it smiling!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! :)
BTW, don't even joke about the red and black! :) You know those are the only colors that count!
