To my fellow Terriers of the Class of 86... and any Terriers of other classes that want to attend....especially 84, 85, 87.... Here is the planned schedule of events for the Class of 1986, 30th Reunion:
Sept. 30 (Friday) 7pm-10pm---HHS Homecoming football game against Chamberlain ($5 admission to game). They are also calling it the BLACKOUT game, so they want everyone to wear Black. Check in with me at the ALUMNI table once you come into the dogpound for some Terrier beads. Please sit in alumni area where you will see banners and balloons, so it will be easier to find each other for fun prop photos since it will be a packed game. (FYI...the classes of 1996 & 2006 will also be at this game celebrating their reunions as well)... If you would like to have a school tour, one is available at 530pm sharp at the bell tower entrance and will end around 630pm in time for the game. After the game, ABC Pizza, is an option for those that want to go.

Oct. 1 (Saturday) 7pm until ? ---Meet & Mingle at Jackson's on Harbour Island. Meet at the outside bar area. Pay your own drinks and meals on your own dime. Jackson's will validate your parking pass for the first 2 hours. I suggest arriving before 10pm since Jackson's gets really packed.

Oct. 2 (Sunday) 1pm until ? --- Meet at Curtis Hixon Riverwalk area by the Children's Museum (there is parking available by the hour at the Poe garage if you can't find parking on the street). Bring a blanket and pack a picnic then enjoy the beautiful area of Downtown Tampa. Go for a stroll down Riverwalk, by foot or rent a bike. If you want to have some food and drinks, then walk down near the convention center to the THE SAIL pavilion on the water. If you stick around the park till 6pm there's free yoga. Lots of fun stuff to do for the day with classmates!

I hope many of you will come to all or at least one of the gatherings. I look forward to seeing my fellow Terriers. Please spread the word to others that may not be on my email distribution or that are not on facebook. Go HERE for our Facebook page.

    GO BIG RED!!!

  • Hey Melissa! Neat to see you and your family. Hope you are well.
  • Hi Melissa. A Sound System Reunion is being planned for 2010 and I want to make sure you’re included. Please drop us an email at soundsystem.hhs@verizon.net so that we can better reach you directly. I promise, your email address will not be shared with anyone without your permission. In addition, if you haven’t already, I would encourage you to join our Sound System Group Page and share your memories with others…Thanks, Robert Ayo SS ‘71
  • Hey Melissa,
Let's just say it has been over twenty years...I will always remember church, I wanna say North Street, and I sure do remember your parents...How are they...I thought your dad was the greatest...You look the same, you have not gotten older at all....Perry lives in GA. and has been there for the past ten years...you know my parents passed away many years ago....I saw your Fred and Louise a few years back..sorry to hear about Fred...I remember spending the night over there when I was very young..shot me a line back..
  • Hey Melissa,
Not really singing anywhere right now, but still rock out in the car :) I actually have a son & a daughter. Erica is 22 ugh and Evan is 11. What about you ? Hope all is well, it was great to hear from you !
  • Yes Mel, of course I remember what you are talking about and I recall the conversation, kindness, and comfort that you gave me with great gratitude and thusly, you will alwys have an endearing place in my heart, but the next time i came home, I did see you, and it was very, very briefly and you were as big as a house, but one could only tell that you were with child if they were either looking at you from the front or saw you in silhouette, as if memory serves, you were the most in shape 3rd term lady that I can recall.

If i am correct, you were on table near the stadium.

BTW, this website is grand, as i am currently also engaged in conversation with Chuck Potter, and he and I were inseperable from 14 until i went overseas.

Also, to allay your concerns, i did and saw some wicked stuff in the Corps, and suffered for it quite a bit when i came back amongst the "humans", but i have found my salvation and it has been quite simple.
i like to grow flowers and vegetables and i also volunteer, in my free time, with children who are at a disadvantage educationally, by providing them with rebuit computers so that the poor kids have a means to do research and homework from their houses, just like the well to do.

Last year, the group was able to provide close to 150 PC's to inner city kids and saw their grades rise up, by an average of a grade and a half.

The best part about it for me, is that i get to do it from the outside looking in. in other words, I seek, nor get no recognition, just the satisfaction in my own heart....kind of like that movie, "Pay It Forward."
  • My son is my everything and I will post pictures when I unpack all my gear and find them. He has big blue eyes and sandy blonde hair, is 8 years old 4 ft 6, 90 lbs and has straight A's, and unlike his father, is quiet and polite...actually I was at that age, but testosterone is a very strange hormone.

I am very happy that you have found your happy place and last time I saw you, you were preggers and working at a restaurant and I think i was home on leave from the Marine Corps.
  • I Know Your Kidding Right Melissa Of Course I Remember You How Could I Ever Forget?
  • Hey Girl!!!!You look awesome and your family is Georgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It would be so great to see you all again soon!!!!
  • After school I persued the whole I want to be a star thing. It didn't quite work out the way I planned. Seriously, I have work in theatre for the past 20 years or so. Mostly teaching and directing but I do get back up on the stage from time to time to perform. Family has escaped me. I seperated from my ex about 3 years ago and she got the NY apt and I moved to Ocala.
