Born and raised in Tampa, Capt. Woody developed a passion for fishing as a child and with worldwide fishing experience; years later he is still expanding his fishing knowledge. He now owns and operates a successful fishing guide service and does everything possible to create an unforgettable and world-class fishing adventure. Whether teaching children or beginners Capt. Gore’s approach is easygoing and courteous. Thousands of local and vacationing anglers agree fishing with this experienced professional is always satisfying, educational and outstanding. As a military veteran from the late ’60s, a college graduate, single parent raising two wonderful sons and business executive, for over thirty years, in the construction equipment industry, he learned to own and successfully manage businesses. And when asked what contributes most to his business success, he always responds, it is very simple, “Customer Service.” Several years ago, Captain Gore added writing and photojournalism to his collection of enjoyable activities. Now he contributes fishing hunting and outdoor articles to various magazines, periodicals, and newspapers. He is Chairman for the Hillsborough County Marine Law Enforcement Advisory Committee and is also a member of the Florida Outdoor Writers Association (FOWA) and Southeastern Outdoor Press Association (SEOPA), He is a past member of Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), National Association of Charter Boat Operators (NACO)
