About Me:
I graduated from HHS in 1960 and USF with the charter class in 1963. After USF I spent 6 months in the Army Reserve and was ultimately discharged in 1970. I began my working career in portfolio management for the trust department of the First National Bank of Miami (which later became Southeast Bank) in August 1964 and was in Miami until 1975 when I transferred to Bradenton. While in Miami, I met and married Mary Marks (a 1960 graduate of Plant High School) in 1967. We have two children, Ken who lives in Bradenton with his wife Hallie and son and Wendy who lives in Gainesville, Georgia with her husband Rich Crawford and a son and two daughters. In 1982 I left banking and formed my own money management firm, Peninsula Asset Management and continue as managing partner. We have always loved the mountains of western North Carolina and in 2003 we built a home in Whittier, N.C. at the Smoky Mountain Country Club. I have always enjoyed woodworking, growing orchids, travel and time with my children and grandchildren.
