About Me:

I am sixty six years young, have taught math in the schools of Florida for 43 years and now have a new lease on life. For the past three years I have not been able to see, so I was always dependent on everyone for a ride from place to place. I had special eye surgery last week, and right now even though I am still recuperating my left eye is reading at the 20/25 level. Praise the Lord! Wow, do I have things in life that need to be done! I drove the car for four miles last week and did quite well except for the fact that I had to jump out into an intersection of oncoming cars to allow an ambulance to get through. Then all the cars behind closed in and wouldn't allow me to return to my lane. That was a very scairy experience, but I will try it again. I wish they had such things as ambulance detectors that would function from five miles away. Night time driving is still very difficult for me, but I am very thankful for Teena, my new roommate, caretaker, friend. God sent her into my life in 2006. We perform gospel music together. She has a beautiful voice, and I can still play music in any key as I did in my high school years. If anyone is interested in a good, free concert in your church on Sunday or Wednesday evenings, please let us know. i can't attend your suppers on Thursday evenings because of my roommate's work schedule. If any of you live in Pinellas County would be willing to give me a ride, I would gladly pay for your gasoline.     Yes, Mama is still living and here in Tampa. Although her health isn't that great, she's still living on her own (in an adult facility) and driving to church and the store. I'll tell her you said hello. I'm not currently singing as there was a disagreement about the Praise Team at my church, Seminole Heights Baptist. If it were not for my son's involvement with the youth, he's a sophomore at Hillsborough, I probably would have moved to another church as I feel that is where God is leading me. But He's also telling me to support my family in their endeavors. God Bless and I'll talk to you later.

    I hope I'm talking to the right person. If you are, you may remember me as being a devoted and loving friend of your father, Dan, at Riverside Baptist Church. He worked with my mother, Ferne, at GTE for years. I'm glad you're still involved in Gospel music as am I. I used to sing bass with a group in North Carolina, while I was in the Marines, and have sung with several Praise Teams at various churches throughout Tampa. I'm glad to hear about your eyesight.
